Split ends do not seal back together, however expensive the product. But understanding why they happen helps you prevent them, and a small trim in time saves you from losing length.
The honest answer: split ends cannot be repaired, they are cut off. Serums and masks fill them in temporarily so the hair looks smoother, but the split stays and travels up if it is not removed. The only real solution is a small trim in time. Below is how to prevent them so you do not come in often.
The end of the hair is the oldest and least protected part; the protective layer there has been thinned by years of washing, friction and heat. When that layer opens, the strand splits in two or into several branches. The most common causes:
Not every split end looks the same. Some simply divide in two, others form small knots or several branches. The more branched the split, the higher the damage has climbed and the more has to be cut. This is why waiting does not help: a split end today becomes two centimeters of damage in two months.
The biggest fear for clients with long hair is losing length. That is why Besire cuts only as much as needed to remove the damage, no more. If you trim the ends regularly, the hair grows healthier and actually looks longer, because it does not lose volume to thinned ends. To book, write to us with your length and the time that suits you.
