Bridal
26 October 2026
The 2027 wedding season has not started yet, but many brides are already choosing their look. Here is what is likely to be asked for, how to match it to your dress, hair and face, and when to book your date.
The short answer: the directions showing early for 2027 are soft waves with volume, sleek updos and half up styles, often with a bow, a veil or one small accessory. Brides wearing the traditional dimija are asking more and more for a cleaner, lighter shape. At B&B Elegance, bridal hairstyles cost 100 €, with the trial included.
To be honest, forecasts for bridal hair in 2027 are still thin. Trend reports in English and German mostly cover 2026, and what has come out for 2027 so far is mainly about dresses. The first 2027 bridal collections show two things: defined waists and bows as an accessory. For hair, that means most of what brides asked for in 2026 carries over into 2027, with small changes.
What was asked for this year is in our guide to bridal trends 2026.
A bow, a small decorative comb or a fresh flower works with any of these.
Many brides want something simple, and that is a good choice, not a compromise. A clean low bun, or loose waves with one pin on the side, still looks right in photos ten years later. Simple bridal hair needs the same work as an elaborate one: hidden pinning, volume that does not drop and a shape that carries the veil.
The dimija, the traditional Albanian wedding outfit, is still part of many weddings in Kosovo, often for one part of the day next to the white dress. The modern dimija look usually has a cleaner hairstyle: a sleek updo or low bun that leaves the neck and the jewellery visible. The cap needs a firm base, so the shape is built around its weight. Everything about the traditional bride is on our page for dimija bridal hairstyles.
| Dress or hair | What works best |
|---|---|
| Strapless or open neckline | Updo or half up, so the neck and shoulders show |
| High neck or lace up to the throat | High bun or ponytail, so the hair does not cover the detail |
| Open back | Low updo, so the back stays clear |
| Long veil | Low bun or half up, where we can pin the veil securely |
| Long, thick hair | Any style, but loose waves in summer need strong hold |
| Medium or short hair | Half up, volume waves or a small bun with an accessory |
Your face matters too. A round face gains from a little height on top and a few loose strands at the sides. A long face gains from width at the sides rather than height. These are starting points, not laws. Besire, who has worked with hair for more than 20 years, checks at the trial whether the style you love in a photo will hold on your own hair, and tells you openly if it will not.
A veil changes a lot. It has weight, it pulls the hair down and it has to stay in place through the ceremony and the photos. So decide early whether you will wear one, how long it is and whether it comes off after the ceremony. Bring the real veil to the trial, or at least a photo that shows its length.
Makeup follows the hair. With loose waves, soft makeup with lightly defined eyes is still the most common choice, as it was in 2026. A sleek updo leaves the face fully open, and there a stronger lip or more defined eyes look better. Bridal makeup costs 100 €, and we plan it together with the hair so both read as one look.
Weddings in Kosovo are mostly in summer, when the diaspora comes home, and Saturdays go first. For a date in July or August 2027, the earlier you message us, the safer your preferred time. The trial happens a few weeks before the wedding, once you have chosen the dress and veil. What to bring and how it works is in our guide to the bridal trial.
Message us on WhatsApp or Viber and send three things: your wedding date, a photo of your hair in daylight with no filter, and one or two photos of the look you like. If you have it, add a photo of the dress or the dimija and tell us whether you will wear a veil. We reply with free dates for the trial and the wedding day, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00, on Rr. Jakov Xoxa in Pristina.
