Microneedling is the newest treatment at B&B Elegance, and the question we hear most is always the same: when will I see a difference, and how often do I need to come? Here is the honest answer, with the timelines most practitioners quote and the limits worth knowing before you start.
The short answer: after the first session your skin usually looks fresher and smoother within one to two weeks, but the real change comes from a series. Most practitioners recommend 3 to 6 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, and often more for deep acne scars. At B&B Elegance one session of microneedling in Pristina costs 40 €.
Very fine needles open controlled micro-channels in the skin. The skin reads this as a signal to repair itself and starts producing new collagen and elastin. That does not happen overnight. New collagen forms slowly over the weeks after a session, which is why the result builds over time and is never complete the next morning.
This is the usual path, as general guidance. Every skin reacts a little differently.
| When | What people usually notice |
|---|---|
| 1 to 2 days after | Light redness, like mild sun |
| 1 to 2 weeks after | Fresher skin, slightly smoother texture |
| After 3 sessions | Pores look smaller, tone looks more even |
| After the full series | Acne scars and fine lines less visible |
Collagen keeps forming for several months after the last session. Most people see the change most clearly when they compare photos taken in the same light, not in the bathroom mirror every day.
It depends on what you want to improve. For texture and pores, 3 to 4 sessions are often enough. For deep acne scars, many practitioners talk about 6 or more. The gap between sessions is usually 4 to 6 weeks, because the skin needs time to repair. Booking them closer together does not speed anything up.
Biondina looks at your skin before you start and tells you plainly how many sessions make sense for you. After the series, many people come back for an occasional maintenance session. For planning your skin care across the year, see how often to get a facial.
An honest word on enlarged pores: no treatment closes them for good. When the skin around them gets firmer, they look smaller. The first signs of ageing are usually fine lines around the eyes, skin that has lost a little firmness and a duller tone. That is exactly the stage where microneedling makes the most sense, because it works on collagen before the changes go deeper.
Microneedling does not erase deep acne scars completely, it does not lift the face like surgery, and it does not remove deep wrinkles. For very deep scarring, a dermatologist can offer medical treatments that a salon does not do. Better to know that at the start than to wait for something that will not come.
For a few days before a session, the usual advice is to avoid strong sun, strong peels and retinol products. After the treatment your skin may be red for one to two days, like after mild sun. Stay out of the sun, wear sunscreen every day and skip makeup for the first 24 hours. Many practitioners also suggest avoiding the sauna and hard workouts for a day or two.
Microneedling is not done over active inflamed acne, cold sores, infection or open wounds. If you have active acne, the skin needs to calm down first; our acne facial helps with that, while severe acne belongs with a dermatologist. Also see a dermatologist before any treatment if you have eczema or psoriasis on the face, if you take or recently took isotretinoin, if you scar easily with keloids, or if you are pregnant. If you are unsure, our guide on salon or aesthetic clinic explains where the line is.
The first session starts with a skin assessment, so you do not need to know in advance how many sessions you will need. Message us on WhatsApp or Viber with what you want to improve, acne scars, pores or fine lines, and if you can, send a photo of your face in daylight. You will find us on Rr. Jakov Xoxa in Pristina, near Muharrem Fejza, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 to 18:00.
