2026 hair color trends: five directions and who they suit

8 October 2026

The new edition is out: Hair colour trends 2027

The 2026 trend reports agree on one thing: loud color and harsh contrast are giving way to warm, blended, glossy tones. Here is which shades are coming back, who they suit and how much work they need after the salon.

The short answer: 2026 hair color trends are warmer, softer and more natural than recent years. Warm chocolate brunette, honey and caramel blonde, soft copper, grey blending instead of full coverage, and lived-in color that grows out well are where most colorists agree. A full color at B&B Elegance costs 40 €.

Why 2026 is going back to natural color

Trend reports for 2026, from colorists and beauty magazines in Europe and the US, point the same way: less icy platinum and chunky highlights, more soft transitions, shine and hair that looks healthy. Color is placed where it lights up the face, and regrowth leaves no hard line. For most women that means fewer appointments and less damage.

Warm brunette and chocolate

Brown is back, rich and glossy, from dark chocolate to hazelnut and mocha. The version that works best this year is a deep base with a little caramel or chestnut light around the face, so the hair never looks flat. It suits almost every skin tone, and warm and olive skin in particular. Maintenance is easy: a root refresh every 6 to 8 weeks. In the salon that is a full color, with highlights (100 €) if you want the light around the face.

Honey and caramel blonde

Cool platinum is giving way to warmer blondes: honey, caramel, butter and soft gold. These tones look natural and forgive regrowth better than ash blonde. Honey suits warm skin with a yellow or golden undertone best. On very fair, pink skin it can make the face look flushed, and a beige blonde is the safer choice there. Honey is usually reached with balayage from 140 € or highlights at 100 €, with a toner at the end.

Soft copper and deep red

Copper stays one of the most requested shades, but softer than bright orange: golden copper, copper brown and deep cherry red. It suits warm skin and green eyes, which look much stronger next to it. Be realistic about maintenance: red fades faster than any other color, so plan for more frequent refreshes and a shampoo for colored hair. In the salon this is a full color.

Grey blending instead of full coverage

More women no longer want to cover every white hair every four weeks. Grey blending softens it with fine lights and lowlights, so the regrowth does not stand out as it grows. The result looks softer and needs fewer visits. If you want full coverage, classic color is still the answer; if you want an easier transition, highlights are the usual route. Besire will tell you which suits the amount of grey you have.

Lived-in color, ombre and balayage

Lived-in color is color that still looks good three months after the salon. The root stays close to your natural shade and the light falls on the mid-lengths and ends. Balayage from 140 € and ombre or shatir from 120 € are built for this. It is the lowest-maintenance option of all: most clients come back only for a toner and a refresh a few times a year.

Which hair color suits your skin and eyes

The general rule is simple. Warm skin, with a yellow or golden undertone, looks best with honey, caramel, copper and warm brown; ash tones make it look tired. Cool skin, with a pink or blue undertone, carries cool brown, beige blonde and cherry red better. For blue green eyes, warm shades such as copper and honey bring out the color of the eyes, and a deep chocolate gives blue eyes strong contrast. For brides

If you are choosing a color for your wedding, timing and a few other questions come into play. We have put them together in a separate guide on bridal trends for 2026.

How to choose your color

A trend is only worth it if it suits your hair and your skin. Message us on WhatsApp with a photo of your hair in daylight, a photo of the color you like and what has gone on your hair in the last two years. Besire will tell you honestly whether the color is possible in one session, which service you need and what it costs. The salon is on Rr. Jakov Xoxa in Pristina, Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00.
